Day 21 Excerpts taken from the personal journal of Peter Lalonde Monday May 29, 2000 Toronto, Canada Jonathon Stonagal is dead. He was shot in cold blood, well, you know. We shot our first day at the United Nations (actually a massive set in Toronto) today. It is the first of four days and Gordon Currie (Nicolae) is doing a great job. He can be likeable and then absolutely despicable the next instant. For you music fans, Clay Crosse was on the set today and he even has a small part in the film. So were the members of a new band called Jake who we think you are going to love. Tonight Rebecca St. James is flying in to spend a day with us. Are you getting the feeling we will have some great music in the film? And, there's more to come We'll keep you posted on that in the days ahead. Kirk asked me to send you his greetings and hopes to get a minute to get on soon. He and Chelsea are doing such wonderful work. We are now in our final week and we got to see a rough cut (assembled scenes that are still very uneven) of 74 minutes and WOW! It looks great. Usually at this stage it is hard to watch. But, this movie feels right already. Soon we'll be handing it over to the editors, special effect specialists, computer effect specialists, audio wizards and the composer. They'll take it to a whole new level. We also got to see the last of the explosions today and Paul and I are very happy. It is so nice to see you capabilities grow at the same time your vision does. |
